Pulling the supplies!

  The no-sew velvet mushroom

I had some amazing French, antique, velvet ribbon that I had been saving for a while.  It was made in the 1930's and is really special to me...yum, that color!  I wire wrapped and added ab faceted crystals to secure it to the over-sized jump-rings.

An ornament or a GINORMOUS earring?!!  Oh, I'm so tempted to try it on but it would surley stretch my ear with that 18g wire!

One French Hen?

It was always a tradition in my family to make ornaments on Thanksgiving, but, as the years passed, we stopped.  This year however, that's exactly what I did!  It felt wonderful!

Wishing you all a warm and special holiday season!

Merry Christmas!

  2. I love the idea of that tradition! I wish that I had family members that enjoyed crafting as much as I do. But it might be something to start with friends in the area. I love all of them. They all have this sweet heart-felt vibe. Especially loving that teal ribbon and the adorable 'shroom! Enjoy the day! Erin

  3. I want that mushroom 🍄 ornament! I'm in love with that dark blue ribbon. Jess and I are going to make new ornaments this weekend. The family that crafts together, stays together!

  4. What an awesome tradition to fill Thanksgiving with creativity. We tend to just fill ourselves with food. I might have to start that own tradition myself. It'll probably just be me, but sounds like a great way to spend the day. And your ornaments turned out beautifully. I'm especially smitten with that velvet, crystal, and mushroom one. The velvet definitely screams Christmas to me, but your additions took it to another level entirely! The other two are lovely as well, but I just can't get over that first one.

  9. I love the idea of making ornaments together on Thanksgiving. I wish I'd heard that idea when my kids were young, but I guess we could still do so as adults, now. Your ornaments are delightful!

  11. These are lovely! I'm so glad you were able to rekindle a family tradition and enjoy making ornaments over Thanksgiving. They are all amazing, but that mushroom makes my heart skip a beat! And that vintage velvet ribbon is amazing - your ornament design really shows it off.
