Art Bead Scene November Challenge

November's Inspired Painting Challenge!

Title: Crozant, The Bouchardon Mill
By: Armand Guillaumin
Date: 1906

I had plans on doing a necklace but just got into an earring mode so .....

Art beads by Helen Blackhouse (top, long leaves) and (bottom, shorter leaf) headpins by Heather Powers of Humblebeads.  Both pairs are made of polymer clay.  Pictured below (middle pair) Are fiber wrapped connectors by Sagahus with added beads by me.  The charms attached are by ScorchedEarth.

I thought the three pairs of earrings I made looked amazing as part of the painting so I photographed them horizontally!

I had fun experimenting with 'caged wire-wrapping'  I just sort of made up my own pattern.  I was kinda thrilled with the result!

Well, it's been a busy week and I haven't had much time to write more but if you have any questions, feel free to leave a message!

As always, thank you for stopping by for a look-see!

  1. These are all so dreamy, much like the painting! It feels sleepy and subdued to me, but when you look harder and closer, you see so much more to it. Your earrings are just the same. They are beauties in themselves, but the closer you look, the more you see their masterpiece. I totally dog the cages you created. They are definitely unique and inspired.

  2. At first when I saw these earrings, I thought "wow, she must have an enviable stash of beads and components to have something so perfect for every challenge." Then I realized while the stash part is probably true, it's not that. It's that you have the artistry for seeing how to put things together. Those middle ones with the red look like they could just slip into the painting.
